Christian Searcy Invited Into the Inner Circle of Advocates

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (May 11, 2010) – South Florida law firm Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley PA is pleased to announce that the Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only organization of civil plaintiffs trial lawyers, has extended an invitation of membership to Christian Searcy.

The Inner Circle of Advocates is limited to only 100 lawyers who are considered to be the best in the country. In order to qualify for an invitation, attorneys must have tried at least 50 personal injury trials, and they must have won at least three verdicts in excess of $1 million or one verdict in excess of $10 million for their clients within the past five years.

“Chris Searcy of Palm Beach, Florida has been invited to join the Inner Circle of Advocates, a group of the best 100 trial lawyers in the country, because of his extraordinary career and remarkable successes in the courtroom,” said Mark S. Davis, President of the Inner Circle of Advocates. “He is a person who is universally respected among his peers and one of the great trial lawyers in the United States.”

The formal induction will occur at the Inner Circle Annual Meeting from August 7-12, 2010 at the St. Regis Princeville Hotel in Kauai, Hawaii.

“The invitation to join the Inner Circle of Advocates is quite an honor,” said Chris Searcy. “The organization exemplifies my personal philosophy of advocacy, which involves achieving justice for clients, and achieving change for the good of society as a whole.”

Mr. Searcy is the International Academy of Trial Lawyer’s current president.  He is also a past president of the Florida Justice Association. He currently serves as a diplomat of the American Association for Justice and is a member of the International Society of Barristers. He is an advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a member of the Board of Directors of the College Foundation of the University of Virginia, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society and is Board Certified in Civil Litigation by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification, formerly known as the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

 

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and received his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law, graduating in the top ten percent of his class.
