Ted Babbitt and Joe Johnson join the firm in the new year

The law firms of Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, P.A. and Babbitt & Johnson P.A. are pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2021, Ted Babbitt and Joe Johnson became shareholders in the Searcy Denney firm. Together with members of their present staff, Mr. Babbitt and Mr. Johnson joined the Searcy Denney team and have relocated to the Searcy Denney offices in West Palm Beach, at 2139 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard.

The combined forces of these highly respected attorneys are viewed by the lawyers in both firms as an opportunity to not only preserve but to strengthen what has been repeatedly recognized as the extraordinarily high quality of the legal representation they have separately provided to their clients for many decades.

Ted Babbitt had this to say about the move: “Joe and I are extremely pleased to have this opportunity. Our joining with Searcy Denney will enable us to continue the high-quality legal work for which Babbitt & Johnson has been widely known but will also make available to our clients a substantially increased level of resources that we are confident will be to the advantage of everyone who entrusts their representation to us. We look forward to becoming part of what is already one of the premier law firms in the country.”

Speaking for his firm Chris Searcy stated, “Ted Babbitt has been a close personal friend for many years, and he has a well-deserved reputation as one of the nation’s finest trial lawyers. The chance to bring Ted and Joe onboard is welcomed by us with great enthusiasm.”
