Sia Baker-Barnes Selected A “2011 South Florida Women Extraordinaire”

West Palm Beach, FL (March 10, 2011) – South Florida law firm Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley PA announced today that Business Leader Media, a recognized information and resource organization for business executives, owners, and other professionals,  selected attorney Sia Baker-Barnes as one of their “2011 South Florida Women Extraordinaire.” Honorees will be featured in the March 2011 edition of Business Leader Magazine. Ms. Baker-Barnes received her recognition at a luncheon held March 8, 2011, at the China Grill in Miami Beach, Florida.

The award recognizes women who are influential leaders within their company or business and who have an extraordinary impact on the organization’s economic success and strategies. These women are active in professional organizations related to their industry, and active in their communities utilizing their skills and time to promote philanthropic and other causes. They are recognized as mentors and examples for other women in their profession. There were over 2,000 nominees for this honor, 48 women were chosen.

Ms. Baker-Barnes is currently a candidate for the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Board of Directors. She has been very active in a number of Bar Association committees and programs. She has also served as president and chairperson on various committees in The Links, Inc., a volunteer service organization of distinguished women who are influential decision makers and leaders making a difference in their community and the world. She is active in the Florida Justice Association, F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association, Inlet Grove Community High School Board of Directors, and Florida State University College of Law Alumni Association.
