Giving your life to your country; to honor your family; to defend the ideals of a great country; and to defend our home land.
Can there be anything more honorable than this?
Many fallen heroes have heard the call to service of our country and have given their lives for a great nation.
Memorial Day is this Monday and many across our country will be having picnics, cook outs, participating in parades, watching races and other family activities.
But, remember that many men and women have lost their lives or suffered injury to provide us with a country in which we have the freedom – we have the guarantee of “certain inalienable rights”.
Take more than a moment during this weekend to thank the men and women who have lost their lives making the sacrifice to protect us from those who would seek to take our freedom and cherished way of life away. The great heroes who daily sacrifice of themselves in favor of you and me – the men and women of our Armed Forces.
Memorial Day is a day that’s set aside to remember with gratitude and pride all those who served and died for our country and our freedom. May your day be filled with memories and peace. Have a great weekend!
