For these past many years, I have had the privilege and pleasure to be involved with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This charity funds research to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.

These are a series of blood cancers affecting one person every four minutes. In the United States it is estimated that over 130,000 people will be diagnosed with one of these disease this year alone. Every 10 minutes someone dies from blood cancer; nearly 146 people every day.

Our walk this year is tonight, Friday, October 9th, 2009 at 7:30 pm, at the Meyer Amphitheater.

All Kickoff Celebrations will take place from 5:30 – 7:30pm with a presentation at 6:15pm.

This is the 11th year that The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has been hosting the Light The Night Walk. Almost 7 million dollars have been contributed to the charity through this event, from all over the United States and Canada. Funds raised help individuals with patient expenses for testing, medication and transportation. It also goes to cancer research, educational materials, counseling and support groups.

I am proud that, in the past four years, the law firm of Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley has raised over $15,000 for the Light The Night Walk.

Come join is to help shine a strong light for a brighter tomorrow.

Hear What Our Clients Have To Say

"Every question that I had was answered in mere minutes and the follow through that the staff, secretaries and attorneys had was superior. I have dealt with many, many firms that have all disappointed me and Searcy Denney was by far the most thorough - I highly recommend them!"
