Victoria Mesa-Estrada

VICTORIA MESA-ESTRADA is an experienced trial attorney, who has litigated cases throughout the state of Florida and other states. She pursues personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice claims on behalf of injured victims. Prior to joining the firm, she spent more than a decade as a civil rights and plaintiffs’ employment law attorney at the Southern Poverty Law Center and Florida Legal Services representing victims of wage theft, OSHA violations, sexual harassment and labor and human trafficking. 

Born in Colombia, Ms. Mesa-Estrada moved to Florida as a teenager with her parents and earned a Bachelor’s degree, double majoring in Political Science and International Relations from Florida International University.  In 2008, she earned her law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she also earned a Master of Laws in Intercultural Human Rights, cum laude. She began her legal career as a legal aid attorney representing agricultural and immigrant workers, filing several successful class actions on behalf of underpaid and exploited farmworkers and obtaining a $17.4 million verdict for sexual harassment, recorded as the largest in Florida history against an agricultural employer.

A zealous advocate for the Hispanic and immigrant community, Ms. Mesa-Estrada is co-founder and current president of the Florida Hispanic Bar Association, board member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and a past-president of the Palm Beach County Hispanic Bar Association.  She is serving a four-year term on the Federal Judicial Nominating Conference for the Southern District of Florida and is an active member of the Florida Justice Association, the American Association for Justice, the National Employment Law Association, and the Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Ms. Mesa-Estrada is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Florida, and the Federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.  She is a member of The Florida Bar, where she serves on the Federal Practice Committee.

Ms. Mesa-Estrada and her husband, Luis, reside in Lake Worth Beach, and are active members of the community, with Ms. Mesa-Estrada serving as board member of the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence. Ms. Mesa-Estrada is the proud mother of two young girls. She is an amid long-distance runner.
