F. GREGORY BARNHART has earned a national reputation for his trial work. He has been named in The Best Lawyers in America, listed in Law and Leading Attorneys and recognized in Florida Trend and South Florida magazines as one of the state's top lawyers and as one of "Florida's Super Lawyers." In South Florida magazine Greg Barnhart was acclaimed as one of the top 100 Lawyers in all of Florida.
For the firm's clients, Mr. Barnhart has obtained more than 55 verdicts and settlements of a million dollars or more in cases of personal injury, product liability, auto and truck catastrophe, medical malpractice, aviation and railroad disaster, and commercial litigation including some of the largest verdicts and settlements in state history.
Mr. Barnhart is former President of the Florida Justice Association, formerly known as the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. He is past chairman of the board of trustees of the Florida Lawyers Action Group, the political arm of the Academy, and served on the board of directors of the FJA Foundation. He is also past president of the Federal Bar Association. From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Barnhart served on the Judicial Nominating Commission which selects all of the trial judges for Palm Beach County.
A dedicated outdoors man and conservationist, Mr. Barnhart is secretary of 1000 Friends of Florida, which was organized to protect and improve Florida's quality of life by advocating and enforcing responsible planning for the state's growth management.
Mr. Barnhart has been honored by the Florida Justice Association, formerly known as the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers with its Distinguished Lecturer award and frequently writes and lectures about trial work in Florida and in other states. He is an honors graduate of the Cornell Law School, and an honor graduate of Vassar College.
