No Recovery, You Owe Us Nothing
WEST PALM BEACH, Florida – March 9, 2011- The Attorneys of Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart and Shipley are promoting a special TV event to air on NBC that honors service and volunteerism in America.
“All Together Now: A Celebration of Service” is scheduled to air Monday, March 28th from 8-9 PM featuring all four living presidents, George W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George H. W. Bush with a segment narrated by President Barack Obama. The event will include musicians and entertainers all gathered at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
This high-profile special was organized by the Points of Light Institute, the country’s largest volunteer organization. It will air locally on WPTV, News Channel 5.
The law firm is known for their long-standing public service campaign “Time to Care” and this event marks their year-long effort to promote volunteerism as one solution to the current economic crisis
Searcy Denney and News Channel 5 partnered in April of 2010 to host the first ever “Volunteer-a-Thon” to inspire a community into action as part of National Volunteer Week. Hundreds of viewers called in to assist a wide variety of non-profit organizations. Then, and throughout the year, viewers have been urged through the firm’s on-going PSA’s to visit www.searcylaw.com for a list of organizations in the area that could use their help.
Searcy Denney will air several of their “Take Time to Care…Volunteer” PSA’s in the prime time special in the hopes that focusing the spotlight on volunteering from our current and former leaders can benefit our local community as well.
Attorney Chris Searcy, a long time advocate of community service is featured in these ads and commented that “when we all look back at this challenging period of time when so many needed our help, we hope many of us can say we answered the call.
Mr. Searcy added “this star-studded event will continue to shine a light on volunteering and remind each and every one of us that we all possess the ability to make a difference when we lend a hand and take the time to care about others”.
